Returning after a long time
Coming back after a long time isn't always the same as going back to how it used to be. A song can follow the recognition and the estrangement, from the first reunion to the moment you notice what changed meanwhile.
The same street, a different view
The route from the station is still in your head, but on the corner a different shop turns out to stand. At the door maybe a trusted face waits that has grown older itself too. Differences like these give the return depth: not only a distance is bridged, but also elapsed time.
Who returns, where to and after how much time? Describe the first reunion, something that stayed the same and something that changed; does the return feel like coming home, searching or both at once?
