A new start in life
A new start can be chosen, feel necessary or both at once. A song can describe the first days of such a change, without polishing away the past or pretending everything will go well by itself from now on.
The first morning in a different place
A box stands there without a destination yet, the coffee is made in an unknown kitchen or a new route to work still has to be learned. Details like these tell what beginning really looks like. Next to the plans, the lyrics can also let the hesitation exist, and name what someone consciously brings along from the life before.
Which new start is someone making and what is the occasion that may be named? Which first step has already been taken, what is brought along from the past and which look ahead feels fitting now?
