Diwali
Diwali is celebrated and interpreted in different ways within various traditions. A song can give attention to the meaning of light and togetherness within your own celebration, without lumping all religious stories and customs together.
The light you set out together
In a house, lamps are placed, sweets divided or preparations made for a visit. Elsewhere the celebration looks different. So choose the actions you actually know and connect them with the story or meaning central in your circle. That way the song stays close to the celebration it is meant for.
How do you celebrate Diwali and from which tradition? Which stories, lamps, dishes, languages or family customs may return, which name do you use for the feast and who can check cultural or religious details?
